Will anyone attend the festival? The programme is very interesting, especially the performance of the "Missa Dei filii"! I plan to come from Vienna to Prague and it would be nice to meet other Zelenka enthusiasts!

The programme is very interesting, especially the performance of the "Missa Dei filii"!

Not just very interesting, more like mind-blowingly brilliant. Over a quarter of a century after his definitive recording, Bernius gets to flex the muscles of a band which is undoubtedly one of the most naturally born Zelenka-performing groups since, well, the 1740s! Any word on which soloists are going to join this "dream team"? And any news on whether either performances will be recorded/filmed?

I have just returned from Prague for my first visit and I was blown away. It was like being in a time capsule launching you into an earlier time. I did originally have doubts about going again this October (I start my studies again in September...), but now I just can't refuse. So, I will be attending! :D

The festival website has been updated with the soloist line-ups for the concerts. In particular the Bernius/Inégal concert will be sung by a team of upcoming German soloists:

Maria Bernius
Adam Schilling
Tobias Mäthger
Emanuel Fluck (Prague, 22.10.2016)
Johannes Hill (Dresden, 23.10.2016)

I also discovered I can reach Prague in 2 and half hours by road. So my ticket's booked!!

Interestingly, a different title is listed on the Czech language website page for Michael Maul's talk:

“Nitzschner, Graf Brühl, Zelenka und das Pirnaer Kantorat” [Nitzschner, Graf Brühl, Zelenka and the Cantor from Pirna]

I believe that Kantorat might mean Cantor, but I'm not sure. Also, Graf Bruhl is almost certainly referring to Count Heinrich von Brühl, court statesman and advisor to August III. Pirna is a town on the Elbe just south-east of Dresden.
