    Default Montserrat Figueras

    Most contributors to the Zelenka Forum being Early Music fans, I feel I should report the very sad news of the death on 23 November 2011 of the Catalan soprano, Montserrat Figueras, who with her husband, Jordi Savall, made such a huge contribution to Early Music.

    This is really tragic news. As you say, they did so much together for early music, not least all the beautifully produced Alia Vox issues. She was a remarkable singer and a remarkable person.
