Keep your eyes on this guy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-3Lqa0b-9k&list=PL_1racOJqSp7oofVBOuja6SN4zSnq-XIC&feature=iv&src_vid=gYzw3vvapag&annotation_id=video%3Ad761ff74-f117-4390-b8cb-ad350b34955d) over the next weeks, he's done 5 out of 9 of the Canons so far, on YouTube. They are very refreshing and curious to hear.

All the best everyone,

Seb

What a find! If anything, this reminds me of Francesco Da Milano's ricercars for lute.

He's done all 9 now, and is now planning to upload 371 of Bach's Chorales!

What a pity he stumbled across that Bach bloke. What more could an E-guitarist ask for than Zelenka? ZWV 92 would be particularly suitable...

Agreed, though that would be quite the challenge! I did suggest that he do ZWV 178 & 179, ie. the remaining 'Canon' compositions. He replied that he is getting on it straight away

He's now uploaded ZWV 178, the crab canon 'Emit amor te ama et Roma time' too. In 4 parts (see http://imslp.org/wiki/2_Crab_Canons_'Emit_amor',_ZWV_178_(Zelenka,_Jan_D ismas) ).

Worth watching from 'partita 1', very clever stuff from our Zelenka. Would be nice to hear it sung at some point
