Default Alma Redemptoris Mater ZWV 123

    Dear All,

I am looking for a score/parts for this wonderful Marian Antiphon by the great man.

Does anyone know where I might find it? I have looked in all the obvious places (Carus/Barenreiter etc) and can't find it.

I'm hoping to perform it in Edinburgh in May 2008 - so the sooner I find it the better!

    Thanks for any advice.

I found the name of Volker Kalisch who has edited some of the Marianische Antiphon (ZWV 123 - 141). It may be worth trying a "Google Search".
Although there were 241 items of Zelenka on www.sheetmusicplus.com ZWV 123 was not there.

Gippo, one of the regular Zelenka Forum contributors, drew attention to www.erbedeutschermusik.de/katalog.pdf
This site provides excellent information but no help for your quest that I could identify.

Good luck with the search and if you are able to put on a Zelenka concert in Edinburgh at any time, please let me know and I'll combine going to it with a visit to my daughter who lives there!

Thanks for this. I see what I can find on Volker Kalisch.

I'll post details of the concert here!

You should try the Batzdorfers who did an excellent recording of this:

Yes, they must have some kind of usable edition/transcript.

The original autograph score is in the state/university library in Dresden. You can order a reproduction. I'll send you some details.

Fantastic. Thanks, all of you, for your help with this.

I'd love info on how to order copies of the manuscripts.

Thank you to all who have helped.

Alas, I have been unsuccessful in finding this charming piece.

Any info on how to obtain a copy of the manuscript would be most welcome!
